How We Approach
Collaborations
What successful non-fiction authors have in
common is a body of ideas, information and
expertise that will be valuable to others –
knowledge that needs and deserves a book.
We view the opportunity to help you write your
book as both an immense privilege and a serious
responsibility. We approach each book with two
fundamental goals constantly before us:
1) To present your ideas with the utmost
clarity.
2) To ensure that it is your voice (not ours or
some artificial construct) that the reader
"hears."
We recognize that authors have a variety of
reasons for choosing to work with a supporting
writer. Some, although excellent writers
themselves, are simply too busy to take on a
project as large as writing a book. Others feel
their own natural writing style is not suited
for the audience they'd like to reach. Still
others hate to write or find the process
daunting.
Whatever your reason for choosing a supporting
writer, we think it's our job to make the
process as efficient, easy, and pleasant as
possible, as well as to get the desired result:
a successful proposal and well written, saleable
book.
